The renders come courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) and 91mobiles. Assuming they’re accurate (and Hemmerstoffer has an excellent track record with these sort of things), the images put to rest any notion of OnePlus going with an in-display camera, at least for now.
Front camera aside, the OnePlus 8 Pro is said to sport a 6.65-inch display, while the regular OnePlus 8 will have a 6.5-inch screen. Both will have a 90Hz refresh rate.
On the back, the OnePlus 8 Pro will be the the first in the OnePlus family to rock a quad-camera arrangement. This consists of three cameras aligned vertically, and a 3D ToF sensor plopped next to them. There’s also an LED flash that sits underneath it all.
Other specs include a USB-C port on the bottom, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. It’s not yet known what processor will end up inside the OnePlus 8 Pro will have—for reference, the OnePlus 7T is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to launch on January 23, 2020.
