The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM lens is an absolute monster in both size and ambition, blowing past the traditional professional zoom aperture of f/2.8 by a full stop and offering photographers a uniquely capable piece of equipment. Is it worth the size and the price? This excellent review takes a look at the lens to help answer that question.
Coming to you from Christopher Frost Photography, this great video review takes a look at the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM lens. This lens is massive in size, which is unsurprising given its very fast f/2 aperture, and it offers a very useful zoom range as well, making it a very tempting option for many events, wedding, portrait photographers, and more. What I find particularly interesting is that while it is quite the bulky lens, it could potentially actually save photographers a fair amount of bulk. With its very wide (for a zoom) maximum aperture and image quality, it can conceivably replace a bag of primes for some photographers, taking the roles that used to be held by three or so lenses and rolling them into one. This would certainly life easier for some photographers, making it an interesting option. Check out the video above for Frost’s full thoughts.
