Josh Allen has been dazzling Buffalo Bills fan all year with his play on the field, but now, he is famous for another reason after his selfie photo in front of screaming fans has been displayed at an art gallery in Buffalo, NY.
I was initially resistant to the selfie fad and wrote it off as vain and silly. Over time, I have come to realize it is one of the most effective ways to capture a moment or memory. The Buffalo Bills are busy making memories this season. After being an NFL powerhouse and heading to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early nineties, the team has been an afterthought since.
Allen found a group of cheering fans waiting for the team to deplane after their playoff-clinching win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Being that it was cold out and after midnight, the crowd represents the above and beyond level of fandom that the team has come to expect from its supporters affectionately referred to as the Bills Mafia.
The photo was taken after a couple of friends used the piggyback method to get a better view. This spectacle caught Allen’s attention and he snapped a selfie.
Twitter user @stephietweets reposted the photo with a request for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery to hang it.

As NFL quarterbacks take more and more selfies, Allen gets some bragging rights for being the first to get his hung in an art gallery. And as all of us photographers know, if you supply two images; they will run the blurry one.
