Lighting and Posing Tips for Swimwear and Boudoir Photos

Posing can be a tricky thing to master, and there are special considerations you have to make when you are on a swimwear or boudoir shoot. This excellent video will give you lots of helpful lighting and posing tips for both swimwear and boudoir photography.

Coming to you from Anita Sadowska, this great video will show you a ton of helpful tips for lighting and posing in swimwear and boudoir photography. These sorts of shoots require an extra level of sensitivity due to the vulnerability of the model, and it is really crucial to work on your social skills and how you interact with your subjects. One posing technique Sadowska uses a lot that I appreciate is using a mild wide angle lens and having the model lead with her legs toward the camera. This creates the effect of elongating the model’s legs and also serves to create a natural leading line to draw the viewer’s eyes into the image and to the subject. Check out the video above for lots of great tips.
